On Behalf of the International Society for Computational Biology Regional Student Group of Switzerland (ISCB-RSG-Switzerland)

We are recruiting!

We are recruiting new members for the regional section of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB) Student Council (SC). Join us for a short discussion if you are interested in participating in our organisation. To keep it brief, we summarized various questions you might have below.

Where and when?
In the 14th November at the foyer of the Genopode building (close to the UNIL-Sorge metro station) from 17:30 to 19:00.

What do we do?
We are organising various types of events to enhance the scientific exchange and communicate science to various audiences with focus on bioinformatics. Especially, our aim is to strengthen the scientific network between PhDs, postdocs and PIs.

What do we need?
We are looking for active and interested people that are willing to help in their spare time with various organisational tasks. The only thing required is to be open and constructive.

Who are we?
We are PhD students and postdocs from UNIL and EPFL, covering a broad range of cultural backgrounds and scientific expertise in bioinformatics. We also welcome Master students.

What does it bring you?
Scientific exchange, communication and organisational skills are increasingly important in a scientific career and joining our organisation will help you to get hands on experience. In 2019, Basel will host the ECCB/ISCB conference. As part of this event we will play a major role as the local representation of ISCB student council. This will be a great opportunity for you to be included in the organization of a major conference.

If you are interested in more details about past events and our structure, please check our website or our facebook page.

Best Regards,

On behalf of the committee,
Amel Bekkar
